Full to the brim with excellent beers, wine and whiskies for over thirty years.

Our Favourite Places would be nothing without our contributors — a massive thanks to all of them!
Tell us about you…
I grew up in the north east. I did a degree at the University of Sheffield and now I work there. I spend my spare time slagging off and gushing over not-very-famous bands in the music press. Other hobbies include buying beers from the Dram Shop, going to gigs at The Audacious Art Experiment and running along the Rivelin Valley.
What does Sheffield mean to you?
Ian Brown once said that Manchester’s got everything except a beach. So has Sheffield – the difference is that we don’t go on about it all time.
What’s your favourite Sheffield place?
Everything I love about Sheffield can pretty much be summed up by looking at Park Hill from the Showroom or by looking at the Showroom from Park Hill.
What would you do to improve the city?
More nice places to buy things after 5pm, get coffee after 6pm and drink beer after 11pm please. It’d also be good if I didn’t have to go Manchester and Leeds to see bands as often too.
