Join us this summer in Bradfield for a week of outstanding music from top international artists. There will be music ranging from classical to film, jazz and beyond, with artists keen to break down barriers and communicate in engaging new ways. All concerts are held in the medieval St Nicholas’ Church, High Bradfield with its wonderful acoustic and spectacular views over Peak Park countryside. There is something really special about a summer evening of music in this magical setting.
For 2026, the Festival’s seven concerts cross genres, from the saxophone of the award winning and popular presenter, Jess Gillam, to the acapella voices of Corvus Consort, performing ‘A Million Nightingales’, songs spanning six centuries inspired by birds. With emerging artists such as the exciting Woolf Quartet, to well established artists, the festival explores the more familiar alongside music which deserves to be better known. Concerts by acclaimed Fenella Humphreys and Martin Roscoe and Trio Meister Raro explore nature, the seasons and fantastical themes through music by Beethoven, Vaughan Williams and Schumann to current day composers. Lisa Friend Trio takes us from popular classics to song and film music.
The Festival week culminates in a vibrant finale with the virtuosic Tim KliphuisTrio and their high octane Gershwin and Copland inspired Jazz, bringing back the free-flowing improvisational energy that Gershwin’s timeless melodies deserve.
