Hyuk Namkoong is an internationally renowned pianist with a host of awards under his belt.
Born in South Korea and raised in Bahrain, he won first prize in the Young Musician of the Gulf, the Best Pianist Award and Most Promising Bahrain-Based Musician Award. He was also champion of the 2015 New Rising Star Piano Competition in Glasgow.
Described as a “power-driven” classical pianist, he’s known for his dazzling performances that take influences from a variety of genres.
Having once performed in front of the General of the Republic of Korea Army, watching this prodigy in the cosy confines of Cafe #9 will be an incredible experience.
