Martin’s career began on the streets, busking as a teenager inspired by the likes of The Cure and the Brighton scene. What followed was a musical journey spanning four decades, blending genres from jazz to country, skiffle to reggae, all delivered with warmth, humour, and a deep connection to his roots.
With The Daintees, Martin found early acclaim and shared stages with Aztec Camera, The Bluebells, and John Martyn. Later, he stepped away from the mainstream industry to embrace a fiercely independent path, crafting a rich catalogue of self-financed albums and earning a devoted live following along the way.
This performance – part concert, part storytelling session – promises a heartfelt, soulful evening full of reflection, melody and musical surprises from one of Britain’s most enduring and endearing talents.
