Nosferatu

Mon. 6 January 2025 — Thu. 23 January 2025

Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula has seen several film adaptations over the 100 years since its release, with the first being the silent film Nosferatu in 1922 – now given new life in a refreshingly dark and atmospheric tale.

In 1838, Thomas Hutter is given the task from his new employer to facilitate the sale of a property, and in doing so must journey out to visit the prospective client, the reclusive Count Orlok.

Ignoring the warning signs from his new wife Ellen, for who he wants to provide a better life, and the local villagers ahead of his arrival at the Count's castle, Thomas discovers fear and darkness beyond his worst nightmares, which now threatens the love of his life and those he holds most dear.

From writer-director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Northman, The VVitch), this gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and a terrifying evil force causing untold horror, is a dread-filled and visually-stunning take on the classic story.

With a magnificent turn from Lily-Rose Depp, alongside Nicholas Hoult (The Menu, X-Men, Mad Max: Fury Road), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Tenet, Nocturnal Animals), Willem Dafoe (Poor Things, The Lighthouse, The Florida Project), and an unrecognisable Bill Skarsgard (John Wick 4, IT).
