All the King’s Men stars Broderick Crawford, as Willie Stark, who won an Academy Award for his work. The character of Stark was most certainly inspired by Louisiana's Huey Pierce Long, the controversial "Kingfish" who ruled the state as governor (and later senator) with an iron hand, soaking the wealthy and enhancing his personal power unscrupulously.
This film is part of the Philosophy at Showroom series and will be introduced by a philosopher from the University of Sheffield.
