Scarlet, a sword-wielding princess from a war-torn medieval kingdom, sets out to avenge the death of her father.

When failing in her quest, she awakes in a mysterious afterlife, where she meets an idealistic young man from the future. His compassion challenges her thirst for vengeance, and not only helps her to heal, but shows her the possibility of a future free from bitterness and rage.

From award-winning director Mamoru Hosoda (Belle, Summer Wars, The Boy and The Beast), this time-bending animated adventure challenges the cycle of hatred, for a meaning in life beyond revenge.
