The Chronology of Water

Fri. 6 February 2026 — Mon. 2 March 2026

The feature film directorial debut of award-winning actress Kristen Stewart (Love Lies Bleeding, Clouds of Sils Maria, Crimes of the Future), adapted from the 2011 acclaimed memoir of the same name by Lidia Yuknavitch.

Following Yuknavitch’s life from her earliest experiences - told through a shifting flow of memories - as a promising young swimmer, through fractured relationships, addiction and self-discovery.

A chronicle of a woman becoming a writer - through loss, love and trauma - transforming pain into art and writing a life on her own terms.

The Chronology of Water is a visceral portrait of survival, sexuality and resilience, with a magnetic performance from Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later, Green Room, Hedda).
