An elderly inmate serving life in prison, is on the verge of a lonely death in his solitary cell.
One night, he begins to share his life story with the only real sign of life in his cell – a flower – which unexpectedly, talks back.
Through their conversation, he begins to reflect on his past; as a low-ranking yakuza gangster, to the decisions that led him to prison, and the meaning of life and love.
