The Legend of Ochi

Fri. 1 August 2025 — Thu. 14 August 2025

In a remote village on the island of Carpathia, a young girl named Yuri has learned to never go outside after dark, for fear of the elusive forest creature known as the ochi.

But one day, Yuri discovers a wounded baby ochi that has been left behind. She decides to make the journey to take the young creature home to its family, and along the way uncovers the mystery of animal communication.

A fantastical and warm-hearted fable, this feature film debut from writer/director Isaiah Saxon was filmed on location with animatronic puppets in the remote mountain villages of Transylvania, starring Willem Dafoe (Nosferatu, Poor Things, The Florida Project), Emily Watson (God's Creatures, Chernobyl), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Helena Zengel (System Crasher).
