WITCH (We Intend To Cause Havoc) were Zambia’s biggest band of the 1970s and pioneers of Zamrock - a thrilling fusion of African rhythms, psychedelic rock, and influences from The Rolling Stones to James Brown. Their sound is raw, fuzzed-out, hypnotic, and full of joy. Their live shows were, and are, legendary for their chaotic, high-energy intensity.
After Zamrock’s decline, frontman Emmanuel 'Jagari' Chanda stepped away from music, spending years mining gemstones in near-anonymity. That changed in 2012, when Now-Again Records reissued their catalog, sparking a remarkable global revival and long-overdue international tours.
The fact this show is happening at all feels surreal – don’t miss out!
