Around 160 artists and craftspeople from Sheffield's creative community have made their home at Yorkshire Artspace, either in the light-filled spaces of the purpose-built Persistence Works or the six-floor art deco Exchange Place Studios in Castlegate.
Each November, over 100 of the resident ceramicists, jewellers, furniture makers, printmakers, painters, woodworkers and sculptors have a little tidy, before opening their studio doors to a curious audience for one weekend only.
Yorkshire Artspace's annual Open Studios event is a hallmark of Sheffield's cultural calendar. It's a fantastic opportunity to see inside the working spaces of some of our city’s most creative residents, have a little chat, and maybe even make some headway with your Christmas shopping.
