Sheffield Antiques Centre is one of a number of antiques centres in the area known as the Antiques Quarter. Each centre houses stalls from its own distinctive range of dealers and most come with a cafe pumping out homely soup and baking smells across the shop floor. A Saturday afternoon is well spent on a trail round all of them.
The labyrinthine Sheffield Antiques Centre specialises in Bakelite railway signage and stylish garden paraphernalia, while its many other delights often include everything from taxidermy to 1940s debutant frocks.
