Higher Fields Festival is a brand-new grassroots music and arts festival, launching in summer 2026 on Randall Street in Sheffield’s S2. It brings together DIY musicians, artists, crews and communities from South Yorkshire and beyond.
The festival champions the DIY spirit that defines Sheffield’s creative culture, offering a platform for emerging and established independent artists while prioritising fairness, inclusion and community support.
Built from the ground up with independence and accessibility at its core, Higher Fields Festival is a not-for-profit event. Randall Road will be closed to traffic, with three daytime stages spread along the road, plus food and drink available throughout the day from 12pm–2am. Once on site, you’ll be free to explore all the venues.
As the sun goes down, the party will move indoors for the afterparty.
Stage partners include Gut Level and Kitchen Radio, Hatch and Delicious Clam, and an afterparty from Groundwork.
Community Stage
Championing the next wave of DIY talent from Sheffield and beyond, we’ve brought together some crucial community music projects and labels to showcase the incredible musicians they work with. Supported by the Sarah Nulty Foundation, with live performances and DJ sets from Hybrid 3 Studios, Pattern and Push, Rite Trax, Slambarz and Tracks, headlined by Wub Club.
Gut Level takeover
Gut Level ascended from the depths of an archway deep in Sheffield's underbelly, rising to be the shining champions of DIY queer club culture nationwide.
Headlining the Gut Level takeover on the Spring Tank Studios stage in the community studio's yard is Jorg Kuning, with support from local legends MYNA, Betty and Lick Quid Gold
More details of other stages and afterparty coming soon...
