Sew together this summer. Designed for adult and older child pairs (aged 10+), this hands-on sewing session is a chance to get creative and learn new skills together. Over three hours, you’ll each sew your very own water bottle holder / carrier.
Workshop Overview
- The Project: A washable water bottle holder.
- Duration: 3 hours of step-by-step guidance.
- Who it is for: Adult-and-child pairs (ages 10+).
- The Setup: The adult and child will each have a dedicated sewing machine and sew side by side, making a water bottle holder each.
Our 3-Hour Parent & Child Sewing session is strictly limited to a small group of just 6 people. You'll get plenty of dedicated, step-by-step help in a calm and creative space.
What you and your young person will learn:
- Sewing machine safety: Thread and operate a sewing machine safely.
- Seam precision: Pin fabrics and sew an accurate seam allowance.
- Structural support: Apply iron-on interfacing to make your holder sturdy.
- Strap attachment: Securely anchor adjustable straps to withstand daily use.
- Optional professional finishing: Create a neat, topstitched hem around the top rim.
- Project completion: Take home two finished water bottle holders.
