The lineup for Hallamshire Hotel’s fringe party has a specific focus on local grassroots talent.
Sheffield veterans Speed For Lovers will bring their dark but danceable take on disco to the party on Friday before 8-piece funk & jazz fusion band Malah Palinka (comprising mostly of University of Sheffield music grads) close things off with their “infectious funk grooves, swanky harmonies, and dreamlike lyrics.”
Up and comer Cordelia Gartside brings her PJ Harvey-esque alt-rock to the Hotel on Saturday. Her music has been described as “intimate and expansive, a hushed secret turned communal scream.”
