Common Threads is a weaving and arts festival that invites women and marginalised genders to connect and take up space in Sheffield city centre.
Join The Bare Project on The Moor as we weave a ‘living room’ to make space to showcase textile crafts and stories from around the world.
From panel discussions, workshops sharing skills in basket weaving, natural dyes, clothing alteration and weaving robots, to film screenings, storytelling and wool spinning, Common Threads has activities for every age.
Between 1 and 2pm each day we’ll also be serving up a hot meal offered on a pay what you can basis.
With activities from artists and groups including Asma Kabadeh, Charlie Hill, Jennie Moran, Kerry Lindeque, Pattern Club, and our project partners Higsad Alool Weavers, Re-Water; SunRit Culture Group, Craft Social at Gut Level and the Manor Weavers.

Common Threads festival has been curated and produced by The Bare Project, in collaboration with the Higsad Alool Weavers. It is delivered in partnership with Re-Water; SunRit Culture Group, Craft Social at Gut Level, and the Manor Weavers.
